Is Your Kitchen Ready for Your New Gas Cooker?

Before we arrive to install your new gas cooker, there are a few things worth checking. Ideally, there should already be a gas cooker bayonet fitting behind or close to the cooker position. This is where the flexible gas cooker hose connects to the existing gas supply. Gas Safe guidance specifically recognises replacement cooking appliances connected using a flexible hose and existing self-sealing bayonet socket. Gas Safe Register

Your cooker may also require an electrical connection or socket nearby for the ignition, clock, oven light or other electrical functions. The exact requirements depend on the cooker, so we can check the manufacturer's instructions when installing it.
